DocVerify
Audit-ready document verification for regulated pharmaceutical teams.
DocVerify is a platform Avacone built for regulated pharmaceutical operations: it extracts text from scanned documents through dual-pass OCR, compares the two independent readings, routes disagreements to human review, and keeps every decision in an immutable audit log.
OCR alone does not create audit-ready evidence.
Manual verification doesn't scale. Hundreds of pages, binders, scans, and supplier documents create review load too slow and inconsistent for manual checking.
Small mismatches carry real risk. Batch records, QA forms, and SOP evidence can fail on small differences a simple pass/fail label may hide.
Evidence must survive inspection. Regulated buyers need reviewer decisions, source artifacts, file hashes, and a traceable audit chain.
DocVerify's central principle: no document is trusted on the basis of a single OCR pass. Every document is processed twice, using two independent OCR engine configurations. If the two readings agree above a configurable threshold, the document passes verification. If they diverge, it's routed to human review.
This approach surfaces a class of silent OCR errors a single-pass system can't detect - cases where an engine confidently misreads a character (0 vs O, 1 vs l, rn vs m) in a way that looks correct but isn't. Two independent configurations will disagree on such misreads in ways a single pass can't surface.
- 1
Intake
Upload, monitored folder, email, or network scanner.
- 2
Dual OCR
Every document is read twice, independently.
- 3
Compare
Content, page, and quality differences, detected deterministically.
- 4
Review
Approve or reject, with a mandatory reason and a clear role.
- 5
Archive
Locked evidence, integrity-hashed, immutable.
- Role-based controlFive distinct roles - Viewer, Scanner, Reviewer, Approver, Admin - each with separate responsibilities.
- Hash-chained audit trailEvery action is cryptographically chained to the one before it; any later modification is detectable.
- Immutable evidenceApproved documents are write-locked, with an integrity hash verified on every download.
- independent OCR readings for every document
