What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. Similar technologies, such as the browser's local storage, play a similar role. Some are needed for a site to work, while others load third-party content, measure visits, or personalise ads.
How your choice works
On your first visit we show a banner with three options of equal weight: Accept all, Decline all, and Configure. Cookies and services are grouped into categories:
- Strictly necessary: make the site work and remember your choice. Always active and exempt from consent.
- Functional: load third-party content that improves the experience, for example the Google map on the contact page.
- Statistics: measure how the site is used, based on aggregate data. Used only if switched on for the site and only with your agreement.
- Marketing: advertising and campaign measurement. We do not use such services at present.
Optional categories stay off until you choose otherwise. Content that needs a category you have not allowed does not load at all: for example, the Google map appears as a panel with an "Accept functional cookies" button, and your browser does not contact Google until you accept.
Your choice is saved in our own cookie, avc_consent, for 12 months. If we change the list of cookies or services, we ask for your choice again.
List of cookies and services
The table below is generated automatically from the list of cookies and services the site uses, so it is always up to date.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration | Type | Category |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| avc_consent | Avacone Romania S.R.L. | Remembers your cookie choices (version, accepted categories, date) so we do not ask again on every visit. | 12 months | Cookie (first-party) | Strictly necessary |
| avc_session | Avacone Romania S.R.L. | Keeps authorised staff signed in to the admin area. Set only after login, never for visitors. | 14 days or until sign-out | Cookie (first-party) | Strictly necessary |
| Google Maps | Google LLC | The interactive map on the contact page. It loads only after you accept functional cookies. Your browser contacts Google (including your IP address). | For the duration of the visit | Third-party request (third-party) | Functional |
| NID | Google LLC | Set by Google when the map is loaded: preferences and Google ad personalisation for signed-out users. | About 6 months (set by Google) | Cookie (third-party) | Functional |
| AEC | Google LLC | Set by Google to verify that requests come from real users and to prevent abuse. | About 6 months (set by Google) | Cookie (third-party) | Functional |
| SOCS | Google LLC | Set by Google to remember the state of your consent choices for Google services. | About 13 months (set by Google) | Cookie (third-party) | Functional |
Google's cookies are set by Google, which decides their names and durations. The figures above are indicative and may change. Details in Google's policy on technologies it uses.
How to change or withdraw your choice
You can change your choice at any time from the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page (on phones, from the "More" menu) or with the button below. Withdrawing is as easy as giving consent: when you switch a category off, the related content is removed from the page immediately, and we delete the known cookies we can control on this domain.
Cookies that a third party sets on its own domain (for example google.com) can be deleted only from your browser settings.
Legal basis
Strictly necessary cookies are used without consent under Article 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC (ePrivacy) and Romanian Law no. 506/2004. Any cookie or technology that is not strictly necessary is used only with your prior consent, given through the banner or the cookie settings and withdrawable at any time.
Managing cookies in your browser
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Guides for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. If you block strictly necessary cookies, your choice cannot be remembered and the banner will reappear.
Changes
We update this policy and the list above whenever we add or remove cookies or services. The date of the latest update appears at the top of the page.
